I was listening to that Barbara Allen a few minutes ago, yet it still lay fresh in my mind, because it made me think. I was shocked to see all the deaths, but then again I was not, because what I was listening to was a Ballad. Ballad’s are always sad and scary, but this wasn’t as much scary as it was sad. Instead of reading or listening to it on Fitz’s site (because it was lagging), I went onto youtube and tried to find something, the first thing I saw was Joan Baez. The sounds that came out of her mouth could not be repeated, I was watching with images as well and It was some of the saddest music and images I have seen or heard ever. I was very close to crying. I still cannot believe that that actually happened however, I do not think it did. Overall listening to this ballad was extremely necessary and interesting and as like all ballads are, this was very sad. Listening to this ballad was sort of like seeing a Romeo and Juliet only a few years after shakespeare had died. I really loved doing this “assignment” and hope that we can have another go at it soon and remember everyone, take your chances while they are there, do not wait for anything or anyone!
